In the 1980s, Mendoza was awash with Malbec – Argentine producers were rather ashamed of the fact, assiduously pulling it out in favour of the more fashionable Cabernet Sauvignon. But fashions change and Mendoza is now once again the Malbec capital of the world. Septima’s award-winning and full-bodied incarnation is redolent of sweet mocha and ripe fig.

Nose: Refreshing aroma.

Palate: This is extremely rich and very balanced in flavour.

Finish: Quite rich and lovely smooth texture.
