White Wine: 2021 | Domaine de Ladoucette | Pouilly-Fume
The delicate and complex olfactory expression opens on aromas which remind of white flower, exotic fruits. There is a very beautiful complexity for a vintage where the end-of-seasons sun brought a lot to the aromas.

The delicate and complex olfactory expression opens on aromas which remind of white flower, exotic fruits. There is a very beautiful complexity for a vintage where the end-of-seasons sun brought a lot to the aromas. Excellent complexity that translates into great and elegant richness. Nice attack, straight and bright, it takes place with elegance on fruity notes associated with a dense structure and a beautiful acidity which brings a great length in the end of the mouth.
Producer Information
Domaine de Ladoucette is a large domaine based in Pouilly-Fum in the Loire Valley. While the domaine itself, and the associated, eye-catching Chteau de Nozet in Pouilly-sur-Loire, accounts for around 10 percent of all Pouilly-Fum production (it owns 165 hectares 400 acres in the appellation), the domaine also boasts numerous labels across France, Italy and Switzerland, many with international distribution. The original estate dates back to 1787, when the Comte Lafond bought the estate from the illegitimate daughter of France’s King Louis XV and, to this day, the estate is owned by his descendants. Since the 1970s, however, the company has also moved into Sancerre, Chablis, Vouvray and Chinon, and now has considerable holdings across these regions. As such, wines are produced under numerous labels aside from the Domaine de Ladoucette title, which includes the eponymous offering as well as the top cuve Baron de L, and the Comte Lafond Pouilly-Fum. These include Marc Brdif (Vouvray), La Poussie (Sancerre), as well as Rgnard and Albert Pic in Chablis. Outside France, the company runs Domaine de Mont-le-Vieux in Tartegnin, in the Swiss canton of Vaud, where it produces wines across the Tartegnin, Fchy and Yvorne subregions. The Comte also owns two Tuscan estates in the Upper Maremma, collectively known as Tenute del Barone.
