This offering from Tequila Herraduras Coleccion de la Casa line offers up a reposado tequila matured for eleven months in American oak barrels, and then transferred into port casks from the Douro Valley in Portugal for an additional two months of aging. While barrel finishes are more popular in the whiskey world, they are beginning to become more popular with tequilas as well, and this tequila is a great example of a successful barrel-finished tequila.
