A Psychopomp is a being who escorts the dead to the afterlife, and Woden is the Anglo-Saxon counterpart of Norse god, Odin, who was indeed a psychopomp. It’s thought that Wednesday was named after Woden, though don’t worry, you can drink this gin on any day of the week. Filled with classic gin botanicals, this is an ideal candidate for a Martini.

Nose: Aromas of warming spices hint of citrus.

Palate: Piney juniper leads this one, with warming spices balanced by bittersweet grapefruit citrus and distinctive fennel.

Finish: Creamy finish.

Psychopomp is a small, independent, carbon neutral Micro-Distillery based in an old grocery shop on St Michaels hill, Bristol. They use handmade 30L copper pot stills to produce gin in small batches, using a single shot method. They produce their signature gin recipe WODEN alongside limited edition seasonal recipes and bespoke batches for local independent restaurants/producers/businesses. They also produce a variety of other spirits as unique as each of their gins; the first British Aqvavit, a Parisian style Absinthe and single origin coffee digestif!
